It’s back! A selection of the best and most diverse queer films from Australia and around the world will screen in Brisbane from 10 – 19 March for the newly independent Brisbane Queer Film Festival (BQFF).

Embracing the full gamut of queer cinema, with special picks for niches and allies of Brisbane’s queer community, festival highlights include; OUR LOVE STORY from Republic of Korea and OUT RUN from the Philippines and the Asia Pacific Queer Film Festival Alliance Shorts Session.

This year BQFF has become a member of the Asia Pacific Queer Film Festival Alliance, founded in 2015 in Taipei. APQFFA aims to support and promote films and filmmakers from across the region to push for greater international visibility for Asia Pacific queer cinema. The Brisbane component will also launch the first three episodes of new Brisbane-based web series Two Weeks.

We’re giving away a double pass to the APQFFA Shorts Session, OUR LOVE STORY or OUT RUN! For your chance to win, email your preference and details to with subject line BQFFF.
