Everyone has a secret. Set over the course of one day and one night, the lives of five people intersect at a short stay “love hotel” in Kabukicho, Tokyo. Hotel manager Toru is maintaining the pretence of working in the 5 star hotel he was fired from, only to see his girlfriend, an aspiring music artist, checking into his red-light district dive with a music company executive. The stories of the hotel’s guests including Toru’s socially disaffected younger sister taking part in a porn shoot, a Korean escort on her last day of work and the hotel cleaner’s mysterious paranoia, are woven together by former ‘pink film’ director Ryuichi Hiroki.

Starring beloved Japanese young stars Atsuko Maeda and Shota Sometani, Kabukicho Love Hotel carries an intimacy that reflects our gaze into modern lives under the neon lights of a glamorous city.
